Annual Highway Improvement Program


The FY 2020 Annual Highway Improvement Program provides $3.764 billion of the $23.49 billion included for highways in the fiscal Year 2020-2025 Proposed Highway Improvement Program. For the first time, the department can move forward assertively towards meeting the Transportation Asset Management Plan (TAMP) goals and fixing our crumbling state's infrastructure.

A total of 1,459 miles of highways and 1,490,603 square feet of deck area (179 bridges) will be improved or constructed through the FY 2020 program. Safety and traffic improvements are scheduled at 100 locations. The FY 2020 program includes $3.007 billion for projects on the state highway system and $757 million for projects on the local system.
